Please join us for a fabulous fall day of flying at the premier contest of the Southeast! We’re hosting the contest at an exciting new location, the Lagrange/Callaway Airport (KLGC). The airport is conveniently located in west central Georgia, 50 nm southwest of Atlanta. The airport has exceptional facilities and expansive ramp space. The layout will allow the judges, starters, conference room, fuel, and etc to be in close proximity and convenient. The airport manager is super excited to have us there and has welcomed us with open arms! Our new home looks very promising!
See attached picture of the box. The box markers will be limited to the front of the box along the runway and the center will be clearly marked.
The biggest challenge with having the contest during this time will be daylight. We will be operating under Eastern Standard Time. Sunrise will be 7:04 am and sunset will be 5:42 pm. Anticipate the briefing to be very early, 6:30 am, to take advantage of available daylight. The weather is normally absolutely splendid during this time of the year.
Lagrange has a very nice historic downtown with plenty of hotels and restaurants in close proximity to the airport. I'm optimistic that Lagrange will make an outstanding venue for our contest.

HANGAR
I’m sorry to report that we do not have the big box hangar that was originally promised. There will likely be a couple of spaces we can tuck away open cockpit airplanes or airplanes without tie downs. Thank you for understanding. Please bring your own tie-down anchors and ropes! Your airplane will be fine. Pretend you're at Oshkosh or Sun n Fun.
LODGING
We have a group rate/lock at Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Lagrange. Call the hotel directly at (706) 668-5600 and mention the "IAC" group code. The slightly discounted price is $149 for either a King or Double Queen. Cancellations must be made by 11:59 PM two days before arrival. The sales director is working on modifying or creating a new group block.
Other great choices for hotels located along I-85 are Home2 Suites by Hilton, Hampton Inn, and others.
