An International Aerobatics Day Experience!
Aviators Unlimited Flying and Lunching
We had a great turnout for the IAC’s International Aerobatics Day (June 22, 2024) at the Johnston County Regional Airport, Smithfield, North Carolina (KJNX).
The Nanching CJ-6 was there beside the flight school’s Super Decathlon along with a Sukoi Su-31 and a Panzl! Several competitors were practicing up, and we were lucky to have Marco Bouw (2023 USA Advanced Aerobatic Team Member) and Kjell Ballard out for critiquing and coaching.
Lunch was at Low and Slow Smokehouse, so everyone filled up on brisket and BBQ, and the aerobatic flights were quite popular to observe from the rooftop restaurant!
Aviators Unlimited is a flight school specializing in aerobatics, tailwheel, upset/recovery training, advanced airmanship, and stick and rudder flying. We are based out of Johnston County Regional Airport (KJNX).
