IAC Chapter 12 is excited to host the annual Ben Lowell Aerial Confrontational in conjunction with the U.S. Air Force Academy!
Amenities include hangars for all competitors, a crosswind runway, and the opportunity to fly along Colorado's Front Range at the beautiful USAFA Airfield.
Additional Registration Requirements:
Due to this contest occurring on an active military installation, competitors have additional registration requirements that must be completed February 24th. These requirements include paperwork to receive permission to land at the USAFA Airfield and gain access onto the installation.

CHANGE 2 - 4 Feb 2025: See below for updated hotel information!
CHANGE 3 - 6 Feb 2025: NEW DD forms 2400, 2401, and 2402 attached, as well as an installation access list and welcome packet. The 2400/1/2 forms were updated, and the original forms I sent out are now out of date. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE NEW FORMS, and send them to the email listed in the instructions in the welcome packet. I apologize for the thrash, please shoot me an email or call with questions.
There is also a QR code you can use your phone to scan and then fill out the following form. This will help the base security have you in the system before you arrive so your entry to the event is seamless. This must be done in conjunction with the EAL form attached to this page.
NOTE: DD forms 2400/2401/2401 no longer need a blue ink signature. Digital signing is fine.
Contest Schedule:
Thursday, 24 April - Arrival after 0900L and registration.
Friday, 25 April: Arrivals and practice after 1200L. Please reserve practice slots on the IAC website...request 1x slot per competitor for now.
Saturday, 26 April: Known and Free.
Sunday, 27 April: Unknown and presentation of awards.

The Academy Hotel has 20 double queen rooms available at a rate of $92.65/night from the 24th-27th of April. Call the reservations desk at 719-598-5770 and ask for the "Ben Lowell Aerobatic Confrontation" and you will receive the discounted rate. Book before 24 March to secure the group rate!
Cadet contest volunteers will provide shuttle transportation to/from the above hotel(s). Any other transportation assistance from local competitors is appreciated. Please contact the CD if you are able to help.
Airfield Information:
A non-standard arrival procedure is in effect to deconflict with other USAFA traffic. Please review the procedure, found in the Competitor Welcome Packet, which is sent upon pre-registering.
